Why I built this workshop.

A few weeks ago, I posted an Instagram story asking if it would be weird to host something just for Gen X women. It became the most responded-to story I have ever posted. The overwhelming majority of replies were Gen X women saying one thing: “Do this. Now.”

I didn't want to guess at what you need. I spent hours in one-on-one phone interviews with Gen X women: founders, executives, engineers, stay at home moms, women rebuilding careers on their own terms. I asked what they want from AI and what they're sick of.

This workshop is built directly from those calls with 60 minutes of demos and actionable learnings and 30 minutes of live Q&A. You are not behind. You've run companies, departments, and households through every wave of technology since dial-up. This builds on that.

Nobody talks about this time of life.

Every single one of these quotes came from my interviews with Gen X women this month. You'll hear more stories from your peers in the replay.

“It's that weird time where everything seems tailored to the younger group, and you're asking yourself, do I get it? Can I get it?”

“Me making a better spreadsheet? No one gives a shit.”

“I don't want to be more productive. I want to actually think about things less. I just want to have it off my plate.”

“We've always been taught to be safe. Take the safe route, don't try things unless you know you're going to do good at it.”

“There's that intimidation factor of us feeling like we're the adult and so we should know more. But we don't know more, so we don't know what we don't know.”

“Women have more to give and more to offer than maybe meets the eye.”

“I have like 20 years left in my career. Do I want to keep doing that? Is it worth learning new technology, or am I just all washed up?”

“We either jump in with the knowledge and resources or we stay on the outside. But then we feel this gap.”

What you'll get

01

Hours back

Set up an automation that hands you back real time. Email, calendar, the stuff you never wanted to be doing anyway. “I wanted to be able to free up even 2 hours a day.”

02

A prompt habit that sticks

A repeatable way to ask so you stop guessing at magic words and stop getting mad when it misses.

03

Real questions, answered live

30 minutes of Q&A among your peers. Odds are the question you've been dying to ask got asked. We built this room for a reason.

Here is a real request typed into Claude, and the answer that came back. Plain English in, finished work out.

"I'm 51 and I want to be consulting full time in 18 months instead of sitting in my corporate job. Walk me through a month-by-month plan: what to line up, who to talk to, what to charge, and what to stop doing. Then help me put month one on my calendar and let's work through it together."

Works in Claude or ChatGPT. Swap in your own situation. The bigger the question, the more useful the answer.

What you'll walk away with

01

Set up an automation that hands you back real hours. Email, calendar, all the menial stuff.

02

A repeatable prompt habit. So you stop guessing at magic words.

03

Exactly how women with no technical background shipped real apps. And what they did first.

04

Answers to the questions your peers asked live. Thirty full minutes, unscripted, no question too small.

05

A room full of your peers. Women at the same moment you're in, working on the same problems, asking the questions you'd ask.

Gen X women mentored me my whole career.

And you're some of the sharpest AI users I've ever talked to. Almost none of you believe me when I say that.

So I got on the phone. Hours of one-on-one calls with Gen X women. Founders, VPs, stay-at-home moms, analysts, franchise owners. Women who built apps with zero coding background and women who are still searching for the perfect prompt. I heard the same things over and over: is this another dot-com bust, I know I could do more but I don't know where to start.

This workshop is my answer. One live session built around what you actually asked for. No hype, no shame, no jargon. You bring the decades of judgment. I'll bring the map.

What the women she interviewed say about learning from her

“It's because of you that I've felt comfortable doing it and trying and stepping out of my comfort zone to just try things like this.”

“They think I'm like a genius, and I'm like, well, duh. Follow Allie.”

“Thanks to you and your content, I decided to build my own app. Because you're like, yeah, you can do this. And I'm like, okay, I can.”

“You've helped me to help my clients have amazing experiences. There's this chain of things that you've done. The ripple effect is huge.”

“I highly respect you and your talent and your information and how you communicate it out.”

“You talk about action and actually doing it. When you said, 'Just take 20 minutes and do this,' it burned in my brain.”

“Your task handoff skill was frigging amazing. That I definitely implemented right away at work. That has been phenomenal.”

“I started getting into AI from you, so — kudos.”

“I love what you're doing, and I love what your intentions are behind it.”

Frequently asked questions

Who counts as Gen X?

Roughly born between 1965 and 1980, so somewhere around 46 to 61 right now. But this is a vibe more than a birth certificate. If you were a latchkey kid, if you've been told your whole career to not try things unless you already knew you'd be good at them, and if you have decades of judgment you've never once pointed at AI, you're in the right room.

Can I watch if I'm not a Gen X woman?

This is the trickiest question to answer because I both want to help everyone in the world and I want to have a dedicated workshop where it makes sense. I hope as you read through this page, you get the sense of how tailored this is to Gen X women and why we wanted to create a space for this moment to happen. We won't be carding anyone (unless you still have the Spicoli fake ID from 1982, in which case I would very much like to see it). But we built this as a supportive, transformative space, and we hope you watch it in that spirit. And if you have a Gen X woman in your life, please send them this link.

Is this for beginners or advanced?

There will be something here for everyone. On the interview calls I talked with women who have never opened an AI tool and women who have shipped their own apps. If you have truly never touched any of this, I'd point you to my AI-First Academy first, then watch this replay with a little groundwork under you. Either way, I teach from what you already have: your judgment, your experience, and a very good nose for nonsense. As one of the women I interviewed put it, “You're probably more ahead of the game than you think. Because you have all of this experience. You know what good looks like.”

How long is it?

90 minutes. The first 60 are me walking through actual demos and use cases. The last 30 minutes are completely live Q&A, answering questions from the audience, off the cuff. If you've been to my previous workshops, you know this is when all my terrible jokes come out as well as some really helpful tips.
